Trip update:
Bad news – we will not be taking this tour in 2019, because although we had deposited participants, we did not hit the number needed to make it go at the price we promised.
The good news – we had a lot of feedback that 2021 would work – the additional time to plan and budget would make it possible for more people.
So, we’re leaving this page up for now, just so that we have a place to send people for information on what to expect. Pricing won’t be complete until 320 days out, because of how flight purchases work, so don’t expect an update until August of 2020.

The envious spouses and/or friends who have heard about these beautiful and exciting places, but haven’t been able to go.
Would love to spend six nights in the Alps and three nights in a medieval walled city at an affordable price with the convenience of group travel.

Itinerary
We have room for 12 couples on this trip; first come, first served. The itinerary (with links to accommodation websites):
Depart July 4, 2019 from Des Moines, Iowa.
July 4 – Depart DSM at 11:35 am. Airport check-in 9:30 am. (Subject to change.)
July 5 – Arrive in Zurich at 8:30 am. Transfer to Crans-Montana via standard Motorcoach.
July 5-9 – Hotel du Parc****, Crans-Montana. Breakfast each day.
July 9 – Transfer to Seefeld via Executive Motorcoach.
July 9-11 – Hotel Bergland ****, Seefeld. Breakfast and afternoon buffet each day.
July 11 – Transfer to Rothenburg via Executive Motorcoach.
July 11-14 – Hotel Zum Rappen***, Rothenburg ob Der Tauber. Breakfast each day.
July 14 – Transfer to Frankfurt airport via Executive Motorcoach.
July 14 – Depart Frankfurt 11:30 am. Arrive DSM 10:40 pm.
Side trips are at the discretion of the individual traveler, but train service is convenient to nearby destinations and attractions. Guidance can be provided to travelers who wish to explore the areas or attend the Montreaux Jazz Festival, for example.
Cost: $3,595 per person, double occupancy (discounts for early payments, and for cash payments).

Q: Will this trip go for sure?
A: If 6 couples make deposit by Labor Day, and 9 couples make deposit by September 28, then yes.
Q: If I make a deposit, and the trip doesn’t go, do I get my full deposit back?
A: Yes. In fact, we’ll just hold the checks until we are sure.
